Special Worship Services
During the school year, we offer
Taizé-style worship on the first Mondays of the month at 6:50pm in the Sanctuary. Taizé worship is a meditative time of reflection and prayer through silence and simple songs. The String Ensemble helps to lead this time of worship, and the pastors offer prayer and anointing with oil for those who wish to receive it.
Christmas Eve brings with it the
Family Service and
Candlelight and Communion Services each December. The Family Service is a shorter time of worship that is particularly geared to be meaningful for both children and adults. Nursery care is provided during all services for young children.
Easter and Holy week are special times of worship at Grace UMC! At
7:30pm on both Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, we remember Jesus’ last days on earth with traditional worship services. On Holy Saturday, we have an
Easter Vigil at 7:30pm to remember God’s saving work throughout all of history and to be the first to welcome resurrection.
Easter Sunrise Service is at 6:30am at the cemetery on the church grounds, and
Easter Worship continues at 8:30am, 9:45am, 11:00am and 5:00pm throughout the day. Holy Week 2012 is April 1-8. Join us for worship in this special season!
