Everyone is welcome at all of our times of worship--8:30am, 11:00am and 5:00pm--and we hope that you'll come celebrate God's love and be a part of what God is doing in the world! Each worship service lasts about an hour.
At 8:30am we have traditional worship: there will be prayers, hymns, children's time, a sermon and special music. The musicians rotate leadership--it might be one of the youth or adult choirs, the chamber music ensemble, the brass ensemble, a bell choir or a special soloist. At 8:30, we celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of the month at the chancel rail with bread and small cups of juice--and a gluten-free option. All people, including children are invited to participate in Holy Communion, although those who wish to refrain are welcome to remain in their seats.
At 11:00am we have traditional worship again: there will be prayers, hymns, children's time, a sermon and special music at this service, too. The musicial groups rotate leadership at this service, too, among adult, children's and youth choirs and various instrumental groups and soloists. At 11:00, we celebrate Holy Communion on the first Sunday of the month at several stations around the sanctuary with bread that worshipers dip into a large chalice of juice (or at a gluten-free station). All people, including children, are invited to participate in Holy Communion, although those who wish to refrain are welcome to remain in their seats. At this time of worship on Sundays when we do not celebrate Holy Communion, preschool and elementary aged children are invited to go with leaders for special, active worship geared especially for their age groups--Praise and Play and JAM.
At 5:00pm, we celebrate with a more informal time of worship. The SonRise band leads the music with top-quality original music and covers of contemporary favorites. There is a time with young disciples when kids are invited to think about the scripture for the day and a message from one of the pastors, and we celebrate Holy Communion on the second Sunday of the month at different stations, with bread that worshipers dip into a large chalice of juice, or a gluten-free option. All people, including children, are invited to participate! Again, on non-Communion Sundays, the children are invited to go for special worship activities with the SEEK leaders.
