Darlene has been a part of Grace UMC’s staff since the early 1990’s. She is certified in Christian Education by the Virginia Conference of the UMC and a trained Stephen Ministry Leader. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Religion from the University of Mary Washington and is the proud mother of two adult children, Kristen and Nathan, who are both college students. She loves her two ‘grandpuppies,’ Ernie and Denver.

Children’s Ministries at Grace UMC. She is a former preschool teacher and has been involved with children’s ministries for 15 years. Arleen brings passion, deep faith and creativity to her ministry, and Grace is excited for all that she has brought to the church’s ministry to young children. Arleen and her husband Lenny have three children: Jessica and her husband Ryan, Bryan and Steven.

Youth Ministries at Grace UMC. Emily comes to us from a great experience with Mission Year in Atlanta, and she previously served as Camp Director for the Carolina Cross Connection youth mission organization. Emily is excited to help young people build their faith. She has a Bachelor's degree from Appalachian State University, and she is pursuing graduate work for certification in Youth Ministry.

Debbie is passionate about connecting with young people where they are to help them explore their spiritual journey while developing a relationship with Jesus Christ. She is originally from New Orleans and loves football season. She is the mother of two teenagers, and she also serves as the chairperson of the
Risk-Taking Mission and Service ministry team.

Loving Hearts Senior Adults Ministry at Grace UMC. Nancy brings a caring heart and spiritual sensitivity to ministry with older adults. She is retired from work with the federal government, and she is devoted to addressing the spiritual, educational, social and mission needs of seniors.
